Separation Anxiety Intro Video
From Puppy School to Daycare — their friendship just keeps growing! 🪿🪿
Earlier on this year, I had a Puppy School group with two puppies named Goose in it and one called Rooster believe it or not, so it was in a unique class.
It’s so heart warming to see that both these little geese who went to puppy school together now enjoy each other’s company at daycare to this day!
Big boy Goose is working on separation anxiety training with me at the moment and doing very well and I heard recently from little goose’s dad Dan, who said he is thriving and has the best recall in the park!
I love to hear how my past puppies school students are doing so if anyone else out there is reading this, that came to puppy school let me know how your now teenager is doing??? I would love to hear from you…..
I should add that big boy little Goose is wet in the second photo!

Sleep = trust. Trust = progress in Separation Anxiety training!
This clever little Bedlington Boy is only three weeks into his SA training journey and has given me and his dad a couple of welcomed surprises so early on in the process.
Is this normal in separation anxiety training - NO but I’ll take it any day 😊
He has a few changes coming up soon that may well bring us down to earth, but in this sort of training you need to celebrate the wins when they come and he’s had a couple of BIG ones already!
His dad Liam is doing an amazing job supporting him through his SA training and making sure that he is not left alone to panic. This protects all the work he is doing to help Teddy learn to feel safe in his own company….

Ever noticed your dog does something strange when walking or going downstairs?
It just might be worth investigating and definitely worth taking some footage to show your Vet next time you visit them.
What has is this got to do with behaviour? Sometimes patella problems can be painful or at the very least cause discomfort.
Thankfully for these boys they were low-grade and manageable.
But we always need to rule our pain as a factor in behaviour.

Meet Summer 🌸—this gorgeous girl is working through some anxiety-related behaviour struggles.
Her mum Emma shared some footage with me of her as a six week old puppy and we can see that even way back then she was timid .
Carry that forward to teenage hood which includes secondary fear phases and she is struggling .
However, we will work to gradually build her confidence, make sure she is not overwhelmed by implementing a management plan, and start gradually working towards changing her emotional response to things that she is unsure of.
This sort of training is challenging as you cannot completely control the environment particularly outside.
Sometimes it can feel like two steps forward and one step back, but with consistency, patience and support we can make a difference.
Summer has the support of her parents Emma and Leo, myself and a core group of doggy friends, including her mum and sister and a little friend she met at the park that she loves.
This support network will help her immensely on her journey to a more normal life…

“Big shout-out to these two clever boys 🎉🐾 — they absolutely smashed their separation anxiety reassessments today by snoozing right through them!!💤👏”
Two unexpected but welcomed WINS today! Both these boys surprised me in the best possible way as they are only very early into their separation anxiety training journeys with Teddy on week two and Goose on week three!
