I can’t believe it’s four years since we lost you Charli. I felt so in sync with you. We knew what each other was thinking even before things happened or anything was said. My world fell apart when you left. I’ve slowly pieced it back together like a jigsaw puzzle but there are still pieces that are missing and always will be. Until we meet again my beautiful boy. You will always be in both my and Evan’s hearts xx❤️xx
Connection with your dog is everything when you’re on a walk.
There are a couple of ways to reinforce it.
You can proactively ask your dog to LOOK at you, OR you can reinforce them for choosing to do so of their own accord.
It’s a really good thing to build up connection with your puppy, so you don’t end up as that thing at the end of the leash.
We want to teach them to be able to pass other dogs politely and the key to that is connection. They see another dog, you ask them to look at you, and they get reinforced for doing so.
If you practice this, when you REALLY need your dog to look at you, they are much more likely to….
You will get a lot more “loose lead” happening and it’s just wonderful when they turn around and give you that big smile as to say “ being with you is just so much fun!”
Watch Daisy go! So proud of this girl who finds it really tough to be around other dogs and people. She loved her session today having the whole room to herself without any stressors!
It’s hard to find places to have fun with your reactive Dog, especially in a busy city. Our Zoom Room is perfect!
If you are interested in booking a session, let me know in the comments below or visit my website see profile and head to the agility page.
I teach basic Agility and Parkour skills.
Parkour can be used in a positive way on your regular outings to bring down hypervigilance and build confidence, optimism and fun on your walks instead….
Mia is a little chubby around the waistline, so I’ve decided to start doing some low impact exercises with her to see if we can get her looking a little trimmer.
I’m also doing it to mentally stimulate her as well. She lost her soulmate Meeko last year and has really struggled without him , so I figure spending some time with her in this regard is fun as well!
