We are joining forces with Pound Paws and supporting their mission in regards to shelters in Australia.
Having a rescue dog myself, my beautiful Greyhound Rocket I’m a big supporter of their cause.
Being an experienced trainer, I can also help with the transition from shelter life to home life in an urban environment.
It takes time for dogs to decompress, after being in a shelter environment. Going at their pace is crucial. Every dog is an individual and every dog has past experiences that may not have been positive.
I am happy to help if you have just adopted a rescue dog or you have a rescue dog with behaviour problems.
Sometimes the history is limited and we don’t know what they’ve been through, but I can help you help them feel safe and gradually work through what’s going on. #poundpaws #rescue #rescuedog
A big congratulations to Madeleinne and her gorgeous GSP, Hank whom I have been working with for the last five months. In that time, Hank has learnt that being home alone is SAFE and is continuing to build on his time that he is home alone.
You can see him panic when Madeleinne first leaves in his initial assessment
Then after training he is no longer panicked and is relaxed when she arrives home after going out
Every SA Dog’s training journey is different. They are all unique individuals, but with patience, commitment and dedication we CAN help them. I am a certified separation anxiety trainer CSAT and would love to help you get you and your dog’s life back on track.
If you need help, please get in touch. All you need to do is go to my website www.workingwithwoofers.com and fill out the form on my separation, anxiety, page and I will contact you for a complimentary 30 minute Zoom call to discuss what’s going on with your dog, the training options and cost, plus answer any questions you might have.
Because this sort of training lends it self to being done remotely, I can work with anyone, anywhere in the world as long as we can find a time that suits us both to meet up!
If I am physically present, I change the behaviour of your dog hence being there remotely means they don’t know I’m there and behave as they normally would.
Real change is possible and if you train with me, I will be there for you every step of the way!
A big shout out to little Piccolo who is unable to make his Puppy School graduation class @myvetanimalhospital today as he is recovering from eye surgery.
We will miss you today Piccolo and wish you a speedy recovery and look forward to when you can join us for the next group’s graduation ❤️🎓🐶🎓❤️
Meet Brielle the cutest little Golden Retriever pup I have been working with recently. What a joyous little girl! However one who has needed some help with her confidence building.
Brielle was initially overwhelmed by the outside world, timid around people approaching her, freezing on her walks, worried about cars, trucks and buses. Understandably as there are lots of things for puppies to have to get comfortable with in our busy, sometimes noisy urban environment.
She attended puppy school with us @myvetanimalhospital and did incredibly well there and then we did a follow up one on one session as well.
She is coming in leaps and bounds, and her mum Sam is dedicated to ensuring she isn’t overwhelmed and hits her teens feeling much more confident about the world around her! Go Brielle - your’ve got this!!!
